Hello there! My name is Amara, and I’m the owner of Amara’s Bakeshop!
As long as I can remember I have always been in the kitchen, whipping up something delicious. It’s been my dream since I was twelve to open up a bakery. This dream culminated after living abroad in India in 2012 and basically running a makeshift bakery from my apartment; after a year or so of doing that, a local business man offered a commercial kitchen for us to produce our goodies in. Unfortunately, an education took precedence and I returned to the states to finish out my schooling. In May of 2020 I had the privilege of graduating amidst a pandemic. I graduated with a Bachelors of Science from the University of Houston’s Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management and am currently pursuing my Masters of Science at Brandeis University in Human Centered Design.
