Søren has practiced immigration and nationality law in the Yakima Valley since 2002, successfully assisting hundreds of people from around the world on their applications for U.S. visas, permanent residency and citizenship. He has also represented immigrants in removal (deportation) proceedings before the Immigration Court, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and the federal courts.
Søren is bilingual in English and Spanish and conversant in Mandarin, French, Italian and Portuguese. He graduated from Yale University with honors in International and Latin American Studies and received his law degree from the University of Washington School of Law. Prior to opening his own office, Søren worked for the Northwest Immigrant Rights Project for nine years, first as a staff attorney and then as the directing attorney of the office in Granger, Washington.
